The pathogen could only be correctly identified using 16S rRNA amplification as Ignatzschineria spp.-excluding the case from Rodríguez-Zúñiga, where MALDI-TOF MS proved to be successful to identify I. indica [8], likely due to an updated database of the manufacturer.
