“…10%) for epoxy composites containing 10 wt.% of PVC powder was observed in our previous work [28]. PVC has self-extinguishing properties and does not self-ignite [35]. Howeever, the introduction of only high content of powdered PVC into the epoxy resin has a positive effect on the fire resistance of composites, such as a reduction in heat release rate.…”

“…Furthermore, some plastics are sensitive-temperature materials incompatible with traditional curing methods that expose the object to temperatures (>150 °C) higher than their melting point ( T m ) and their glass transition temperature ( T g ) for a long time. In this work, we tested the manufacturing process by depositing the silver ink on substrates made of plastic materials commonly used to produce commercial or industrial objects: Polyethylene terephthalate (PET, T g = 70 °C, T m = 250 °C), polyethylene ( T g = −78 °C, T m = 120 °C), and PVC ( T g = 70 °C, T m = 100 °C); in particular, PVC is a very appealing plastics for its low-cost and its excellent properties [41]. We also selected the thermoplastic polymer polylactic acid (PLA, T g = 70 °C, T m = 150 °C), since it is largely used in addictive manufacturing for its excellent biocompatibility and sustainability [42].…”

“…The former used metallic seating, whereas the other is with PVC splits as the metal has higher thermal conductivity than plastics. Michel et al (2019) stated that the thermal conductivity of PVC is only 0.45%-0.6% of a steel tube. Orientation of the structure (east-west) reflects the variation of the temperature among different tiers.…”
