Fire proofing of Bambusa arundinacea with different fire retardant compositions

Abstract: The present paper deals with the performance evaluation of Bambusa arundinacea with ten different fire retardants cum preservative compositions to offer protection against fire and bio-deterioration. The performance of treated bamboo against fire is tested by flame penetration test, inflammability test and rate of burning test as per Indian standards.
