Finite difference scheme for simulating a generalized two-dimensional multi-term time fractional non-Newtonian fluid model

Abstract: A finite difference scheme, based upon the Crank-Nicolson scheme, is applied to the numerical approximation of a two-dimensional time fractional non-Newtonian fluid model. This model not only possesses a multi-term time derivative, but also contains a special time fractional operator on the spatial derivative. And a very important lemma is proposed and also proved, which plays a vital role in the proof of the unconditional stability. The stability and convergence of the finite difference scheme are discussed a… Show more

“…In addition, many numerical methods for obtaining approximate solutions of fractional differential equations have been developed. These methods are typically based on discretization of the independent variable and include modifications of the integerorder methods such as the Adams-Bashforth-Moulton type predictor-corrector methods [39], finite difference methods [40], and finite element methods [41]. In this paper, we will use a three-step fractional Adams-Bashforth scheme to obtain numerical solutions for the Caputo-Fabrizio fractional model (11).…”

“…In order to meet people's personalized demand for music, some music recommendation systems have been developed, such as LastFm and Pandora abroad, radio station, and Xiami music map in China, which show the interface of radio station and Xiami music [7,8]. ese music recommendation systems first establish their own music library, then analyse the characteristics of songs and users' listening habits, and then make recommendations for users [9]. Among them, Pandora is one of the most popular music recommendation systems.…”

“…In order to solve a wide variety of non-linear models, particularly models of real-world problems, many discretization methods are applied such as the Adams-Bashforth-Moulton method [ 22 , 23 , 24 ], finite difference and finite element methods [ 25 , 26 ]. In this paper, an Adams-Bashforth predictor-corrector scheme is described and then applied to numerical simulations of behaviour of functions in model (1) with initial conditions (8).…”
