Objective The role of the Hospital Pharmacy Preceptor (HPP) is pivotal in upholding the excellence of experiential training and fostering the professional growth of pharmacy interns. However, there is a lack of studies that provide an overview of pharmacy internships from the perspective of HPP. This study explores the experience and expectations of HPPs regarding existing problems and possible coping strategies in intern teaching. Methods This is a qualitative study that was conducted through individual interviews and focus group discussions. HPPs were invited as participants from large-scale tertiary hospitals in representative provinces of mainland China. Interview and focus group discussion data were analyzed using thematic analysis to see emerging themes from the data. Nvivo 12 was utilized for data management and processing. Results Eight individual interviews and two focus group discussions were conducted, involving 14 HPPs as participants. Upon the examination of the interviews and focus group data, four themes were summarized regarding HPPs’ perceptions: 1) current presenting problems; 2) possible coping strategies; 3) something HPPs should do; 4) something interns should do. Conclusion This study found that from the HPPs’ perspective, the hospital-based pharmacy internship still has some problems from policy to practice, which need to be addressed by the joint efforts of the state, schools, internship bases, pharmacy preceptors, and students.

This study aimed to investigate the perspectives of undergraduate students in the TME (Technology and Mathematics Education) department within the Faculty of Education at a South African higher education institution regarding the quality of education they receive. Quality education is vital for equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary for their academic and professional growth. The research was framed by the Octet of Quality Theoretical Framework in Higher Education developed by Zaki and Rashidi. A qualitative case study approach was employed on ten Technology and Mathematics Education (TME) students to gather rich and in-depth data that would offer profound insights into the experiences of the students. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews, and the interview responses were subjected to thematic content analysis. The primary findings of the study revealed several challenges, including limited access to resources as well as student support and involvement in curriculum. These challenges can hinder the attainment of quality education. In conclusion, it is evident that both students and academics require support to ensure the delivery of quality education. To bridge the gap in achieving quality education, this paper suggests that students' perspectives on quality education are multifaceted and necessitate focused attention from higher education institutions. By addressing these multifaceted concerns, institutions can take substantial steps toward enhancing the overall quality of education for their students.

Shared parenthood is increasingly emphasized in long‐term foster care placements across European countries, including Flanders, where our study was conducted. However, despite its growing importance, there is a lack of comprehensive understanding regarding the dynamics and pedagogical conceptualization of shared parenthood. This research seeks to bridge the gap by investigating how parents and foster carers perceive and navigate parenting roles. Through in‐depth interviews with 12 parents and 12 foster carers from 10 long‐term foster care cases, thematic and narrative analyses were employed to explore shared parenting dynamics. The findings underscore the significant impact of power dynamics on the relationship, often resulting in prolonged silences and reluctance to address issues openly. By elucidating both the promoting and impeding factors, this study sheds light on the complexities of shared parenting within long‐term foster care arrangements. In conclusion, the study emphasizes the importance of recognizing and discussing the normative notion of shared parenting to facilitate its successful implementation in long‐term foster care placements.
