Fetal Electrocardiography: A Survey of the Literature

Abstract: SUMMARY The study of fetal heart rate by fetal electrocardiography has brought into focus the variable aetiology of fetal bradycardia. It has emphasised that different patterns of bradycardia may have a different basis with a different prognosis and require different treatment. Some cases, which do not fit into any group, are not explicable by current theory.
