Algorithm of complex treatment of inflammatory processes and prevention of pathological scars of the head and neck skin after planned and urgent surgical interventions", (state registration number 0124U000093).Introduction.Internal disorders of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), especially in the background of fractures of the mandibular head, are characterised by meniscus displacement, which leads to clicking and crunching [1]. It should be noted that articular disc displacement does not always cause mechanical trauma and obstructive phenomena [2]. Clinically, pain may be absent at rest and occur only during mandibular movements [2,3].The most common causes are trauma, which leads to a sharp displacement of the meniscus, or chronic microtrauma with gradual dysfunction, which leads to degenerative changes in the articular surfaces, increased friction and displacement of the meniscus in different directions [4][5][6].Internal disorders of the TMJ are currently an urgent issue in the circle of not only medical but also social problems, especially for modern surgical dentistry and maxillofacial surgery [5,7]. According to the literature, 23-28% of the total population has an internal deformity of the TMJ [6,7]. As a rule, such patients are treated with conservative methods (medication, physiotherapy and orthopaedic structures) [8].In the absence of a positive effect, according to many authors, in 75-82% of cases, surgical intervention is indicated to change the topography of the meniscus or to re-
