It should be noted that articular disc displacement does not always cause mechanical trauma and obstructive phenomena [2]. Clinically, pain may be absent at rest and occur only during mandibular movements [2,3].The most common causes are trauma, which leads to a sharp displacement of the meniscus, or chronic microtrauma with gradual dysfunction, which leads to degenerative changes in the articular surfaces, increased friction and displacement of the meniscus in different directions [4][5][6].Internal disorders of the TMJ are currently an urgent issue in the circle of not only medical but also social problems, especially for modern surgical dentistry and maxillofacial surgery [5,7].
