Features of Distribution, Harmfulness and Control of the Population of the Eriosoma Lanigerum Hausm. (Homoptera, Aphididae) Woolly Aphid in the Nurseries of Ukraine and Kazakhstan

Abstract: The paper presents the results on technology of cultivation of apple-tree saplings and the ways to regulate the phytophage population. The nature of distribution of one of the main nursery pests such as woolly aphid and its specialized entomophage-aphelinus-has been studied. A woolly aphid-typical representative of sucking phytophages-is characterized as a dominant species in the gardens and nurseries of Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
