“…Over the past few years, interface engineering has been regarded as one of the effective ways to optimize catalytic activity due to the synergistic advantages of each one-component material. The coupled heterojunctions possess unique geometric and electronic structures, including the optimized charge transfer property and adsorption energy of catalytic intermediates. For example, the downshift of the d-band center and electron transfer is realized in a hybrid of NiC 2 O 4 and Nb 2 O 5 , which is further designed as an efficient bifunctional electrocatalyst for HER and HzOR . Meanwhile, the carbon layer-encapsulated Fe-CoNiP is synthesized as an excellent electrode material for HzOR and HER in alkaline seawater . The interfacial structure not only optimizes the electrical behavior of the heterostructure but also promotes the kinetic process of the catalytic reaction.…”
