The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of TiN coating on the fatigue fracture of dental implant system with various cyclic loads. TiN coated abutment screw, the fixture, and abutment of internal hex type were prepared for fatigue test. The fatigue test was carried out according to ISO 14801:2003(E) using tensile and compression tester with repeated load from 30% to 80% of static fracture force. Morphology and fractured surface was observed by field emission scanning electron microscope(FE-SEM) and energy dispersive Xray spectroscope(EDS). The fracture cycle drastically decreased as repeated load increased. Especially, in the case of TiN-coated abutment screw, fracture cycle increased compared to non-coated abutment screw. The fatigue crack was propagated fast as repeated load increased. The plastic deformation region decreased, whereas, cleavage fracture region increased as repeated load increased.

Restoration of the functions such as mastication, phonetics, and esthetics is the primary goal for patients with complete and partial edentulism. Several traditional treatment modalities have been proven to be efficient in fulfilling the same but with the changing demands of the patients and more focus on esthetics; implants have evolved as the ultimate choice. This case report presents a case of fabrication of maxillary and mandibular implant (CSM®implant, Daego, Korea)-supported prosthesis to rehabilitate a patient with severe periodontitis. Both traditional and advanced surgical methods have been undertaken according to the bone structure present. The surgeries for both the maxilla and mandible were performed and the patient was instructed to maintain oral hygiene. Postoperative results were satisfactory and resulted in complete rehabilitation of both the arches.

The purpose of this study is to compare the differences between Shear compression load using shear compression loads tester (858 Bionix, MTS, USA) with fixed screws in the force of 30 N•cm using in four different fastening methods with implanting(N=5) fixture an abutment. As a result of the experiment, the compression load of YI Implant which is the compression load of Internal octagon connection Implant , Non submerged type taking morse taper of 8° was the highest as 1208.20 N•cm, that of Internal hexagon connection Implant which is submerged type taking morse taper of 11° was the lowest as 617.60 N•cm. The relevance of the shear compression load test which was done by four different fastening methods with implanting fixture an abutment, showed a statistically significant difference (p <0.001).
