In this vein, Liberal et al [37] found that during the last rehabilitation phase of several injured football players, there was an increase in perceived fatigue and anxiety, as well as lack of concentration, and an increment in the worry about their own performance in competition, accompanied with a lack of confidence in their abilities, and some decrease in their motivation towards the practices, too. Although it is possible to say that the emotional functioning of the two groups of the present study is pretty similar, it is important to consider the different levels of anxiety between these two studies, with attention to the fact that this level correlates with their perception of the magnitude of the threat and worry with their situation.…”
