“…Combining ground phosphate rock with sulfur pulp created a product which, after thorough homogenization, can be a suitable material for granulation. Granulation is one of the main factors that increase fertilizer chances for market success (Tur-Cardona et al, 2018) and fits into the widely understood technical progress in agriculture (Borusiewicz et al, 2016). Moreover, using technological additions that allow for an increase in effectiveness of fertilizers based on waste materials is a modern approach in creating waste-free technologies not only in agriculture, but in the whole economy (Wróbel et al, 2016).…”

“…It is worth noting that while sociodemographic variables are still very important determinants of farmers’ WTP/WTA in developing countries, this review showed that for many studies conducted in developed and high-income countries, sociodemographic variables such as education, household size, and income levels were not often included as potentially important variables, and when considered, oftentimes did not have significant effect on adoption or WTP (Giannoccaro et al, 2015; Tur-Cardona et al, 2018; Villanueva et al, 2015). Demographic factors, such as family size, do not vary a lot within developed countries, which could explain why these factors are not significant in studies carried out in such regions.…”

“…Pampuro et al (2018) conducted a survey and focus groups to determine farmers' attitudes toward using pelletized composted manure in Northwestern Italy and found that nitrogen content was the most important attribute to farmers. Tur-Cardona et al (2018), the study most like ours, conducted parallel discrete choice experiments (DCEs) in seven different European countries to identify key attributes related to the acceptance of bio-based fertilizer products. The authors found that bio-based fertilizer products could be sold at about 65% of the cost of mineral fertilizer.…”
