After the forest fires in 2014-2016, the Government of Indonesia (GoI) placed the restoration of the peatland ecosystem (RPE) as one of its priority policies in the environmental sector. This study seeks to analyze RPE in Indonesia using a discourse network analysis approach. Researchers utilize Twitter as primary research data. This data was processed with R, rDNA, and Gephi. Researchers found three network patterns that are connected to RPE efforts in Indonesia. First, affiliate networks connect actors and the concepts voiced by the actors. This network involves various actors such as government institutions, civil society organizations, private corporations, universities, research institutes, foreign governments, international organizations, and local citizens. The dominant concept in the affiliate network is peatland restoration and multi-stakeholder collaboration. Second, the actor congruence network assigns Mangrove and Peatland Restoration Agency (Badan Restorasi Gambut dan Mangrove or BRGM) as the dominant and central actors. However, some actors are not connected to the core network and create separate sub-groups. Third, a network of conflicts between actors involving four conflict themes: Government Regulation Number 57/2016 concerning Amendments to Government Regulation Number 71/2014 on Protection and Management of Peatland Ecosystems, peatland conversion, horizontal conflicts between the local community and plantation corporations, and prevention and law enforcement related to forest fires. The researcher recommends BRGM to: (a) strengthen collaborative practices with the various parties involved in RPE; (b) beware in converting peatland so it does not damage the peatland ecosystem landscape; (c) integrate community conflicts with plantation corporations as part of the RPE agenda in Indonesia. The researcher also recommends NGO activists in Indonesia who care about peatlands to continue monitoring and criticizing the RPE process in Indonesia, and fight for local community groups that have been marginalized by the RPE process. Researchers also encourage plantation corporations, both oil palm plantations and industrial timber plantations, to jointly guard RPE in Indonesia by not opening up new land as part of the actual contribution of the Indonesian people to climate change adaptation and mitigation.

The farmers in Indonesia's South Kalimantan Province are a narrative deeply rooted in the region's agricultural heritage and socio-economic evolution. Traditionally, before the colonial era, the indigenous communities in this lush province practiced subsistence farming, cultivating staples like rice and various other crops. They lived in harmony with the fertile land, harnessing its resources to sustain their livelihoods. The Dutch colonial period, which commenced in the 17th century, marked a pivotal juncture in the region's agricultural landscape. This paper aims to explore the intricate dynamics of technology adoption among farmers in Indonesia's South Kalimantan Province, with a particular focus on the in􀅫luences of social capital theory, social in􀅫luence, and government support and personal innovativeness as mediating variable and hedonic motivation as moderator used in this study. A sample size of 370 farmers participated in this study, and the data was analyzed using the structural equation modeling (SEM) tool, Smart PLS, which is well-suited for complex structural modeling. A convenient sampling method was employed to collect cross-sectional data. Our 􀅫indings con􀅫irm the mediating role of hedonic motivation and the moderating role of personal innovativeness in shaping farmers' willingness to adopt new agricultural technologies. The results shed light on the complex interactions and interdependencies among these variables, providing valuable insights for policymakers, agricultural extension services, and researchers seeking to enhance technology adoption strategies in agricultural contexts.

Indonesia is one of the countries with the most vulnerable food security to the effects of climate change. Peatlands have a considerable potential for crop production, but they must be managed carefully. The government issued a regulation restricting burning the land for farming preparation in response to forest and land fires on peatlands. Unfortunately, traditional farmers lost their food security due to that policy. This research aims to: i) analyze farmers’ food security and its impact on improving the environment after the policy banning burning in land preparation. Data was collected through interviews, field observations, and focus group discussions. The acquired data is analyzed qualitatively and descriptively. According to the study’s findings, their land no longer supports farmer’s food availability, and they must pursue new livelihoods to afford to buy their daily needs from the nearest market. Food utilization is still superficial. Farmers’s food stability is extremely fragile due to the impact of policies, pest invasions, droughts, and floods. Although the policy bans burning in land preparation causes farmers to lose their self-sufficient food security, it has improved peatland ecosystems. The government must strengthen community empowerment programs to restore farmers’ food security.
