Family Physician Support for a Family With a Mentally Ill Member

Abstract: Mentally ill family members can have a formidable impact on the families in which they reside. Family physicians can intervene in powerful ways when they are sensitive to those who are mentally ill and their families and can provide much needed compassionate support.
