Faktor-Faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Pengambilan Keputusan Perawat Dalam Ketepatan Triase Di Kota Padang

Abstract

The absence of guidelines and lack of socialization for regarding triage scale make nurse's ambiguity to determinant the triage scale for patient, thus making the triage judgment innacurate. Inaccurate choosing of the triage scale is the first step that caused long waiting time, affecting the satisfaction rate, patient safety, and even morbidity and mortality. The purpose of this research is to determine the dominant factor of the nurse's clinical decision making on the precision of filling triage scale at Emergency Department of Padang City Hospital. This research is a quantitative research. 54 of 61 emergency nurses are participated in this study. The triage knowledge factor is the dominant factor related to nurse's decision making on the precision of triage scale with p value 0,012 and odd ratio value 17,856. Any methode for increasing the triage knowledge can be practice in triage room or emergency department such as triage algoritm and knowledge transfer among nurses. Abstrak: Belum adanya pedoman dan sosialisasi mengenai pengisian skala triase 5 level menimbulkan keragu-raguan bagi perawat triase untuk menentukan skala triase pasien, sehingga membuat penilaian triase menjadi tidak tepat. Ketidaktepatan pengisian skala triase merupakan langkah awal terjadinya lamanya waktu tunggu, mempengaruhi angka kepuasan, keselamatan pasien, dan bahkan angka kesakitan dan kematian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui faktor dominan dalam pengambilan keputusan perawat pelaksana terhadap ketepatan pengisian skala triase di Instalasi Gawat Darurat Rumah Sakit Kota Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. 54 dari 61 perawat gawat daruratikut serta dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian didapatkan faktor tingkat pengetahuan merupakan faktor dominan yang berhubungan dengan pengambilan keputusan perawat terhadap ketepatan pengisian skala triase dengan p value 0,012 dan nilai odd ratio 17,856. Berbagai cara dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan triase seperti pedoman triase dan kaderisasi keilmuan diantara perawat.
