“…The results revealed through simulation showed that the presented solution of resource allocation could alleviate interference and enhance both spectral and energy efficiencies significantly while maintaining users’ QoS requirements. The authors of [ 113 ] presented an underlay device-to-device resource allocation utilizing an outdoor mmWave situation. The authors focused on the fair allocation of resources in a cell to enhance the spectral efficiency.…”

“…The formulated nonlinear optimization problem was solved by a heuristic algorithm to obtain sub-optimal results while satisfying the minimum data rate requirement. This study was extended in [9] where a resource allocation for underlay D2D in outdoor mmWave scenario was studied with emphasis on fair distribution of resources in a cell while maximizing Spectrum Efficiency (SE). The power allocation for the D2D users in a single cell was done by applying an iterative water filling algorithm which considered the interference experienced in resource blocks with sub-optimal results being obtained.…”

“…In [32], a resource allocation for the outdoor mmwave D2D underlay network was considered to maximize spectrum efficiency by ensuring the resources are distributed fairly within a cell. e sum rate maximization problem was formulated to ensure optimal resource allocation.…”

“…In [32], a single hexagonal cell of radius 500 m with a BS located at the center was considered for multiple cellular and multiple D2D pair network scenario. e D2D pairs were reusing the cellular user resources whenever the channel state information (CSI) was favourable.…”
