Factors Affecting Farmland Prices in Schleswig‐holstein (Germany) ‐ an Econometric Analysis From 1954 to 1968

Abstract: This article presents the main factors affecting farmland prices in Germany. In highly industrialised European countries with high population densities, the increase in farmland prices can be explained principally by the rising urban land demand for previously agriculturally used land. However, on the other side, the growing farm indebtedness per hectare in many parts of Germany lowers the prices for single plots of agricultural land.
