Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) have become a health burden in developing countries like Indonesia. Hypertension is a public health threat because of its potential to cause complications such as stroke, coronary heart disease, and kidney failure. Various factors can cause Hypertension. This study aims to produce information about Hypertension's prevalence and risk factors. This study was conducted using secondary data sourced from the results of hypertension screening on workers at the Depok City Service. This study used a cross-sectional design study with a descriptive method. The unit of analysis in this study wAS workers who were at the Depok City Service with a sample of 280 respondents. Data was collected using SIPTM secondary data in 2022, obtained when there was a health screening in the Depok City Government Environment, and then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the prevalence of blood pressure > 140/90 was 124 respondents (44.3%), 159 respondents (56.8%) were female, 51 respondents (18.2%) smoked, 120 respondents (42.9%) lack of physical activity (less than 30 minutes without stopping/day), 147 respondents (52.5%) lack of fruit and vegetable consumption, 73 respondents (26.1%) who consume excess salt (more than one teaspoon/day), 100 respondents (35.7%) consumed excess fat/oil (more than 5 tablespoons/day). Further research is needed to determine the relationship between risk factors and the incidence of Hypertension.

ABSTRAK Hipertensi merupakan faktor risiko penyakit kardiovascular. Prevalensi hipertensi banyak ditemukan pada lansia. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi program edukasi kesehatan dan gizi yang berkaitan dengan tata kelola hipertensi. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian menggunakan penyuluhan, pemberdayaan sekaligus pendampingan dan pelatihan. Mitra pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah para kader kesehatan dan para lansia di kecamatan Gunungpati Semarang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pemberdayaan yang dilakukan terhadap kader kesehatan memberikan peningkatan pengetahuan berkaitan dengan pengolahan pangan lokal yang dapat dijadikan makanan bagi para lansia penderita hipertensi. Para lansia yang memiliki hipertensi juga memiliki kesadaran dan kemampuan secara mandiri dalam mengelola Kesehatan sendiri melalui berbagai kegiatan. Monitoring dan evaluasi yang dilakukan bersama dengan petugas Kesehatan dapat menjadi penjamin keberlangsungan program. Kata Kunci: Edukasi, Gizi, Hipertensi, Lansia ABSTRACT Hypertension is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. A high prevalence of hypertension is found in elderly. It is necessary to identity program in elderly for optimal therapy management. The method of community service activities uses counselling, empowerment as well as mentoring and training. Community service partners are health cadres and the elderly in the Gunungpati, Semarang. The results of the activity showed that the empowerment carried out for health cadres provide an increase in knowledge related to local food processing which can be used as food for elderly people with hypertension. The elderly who have hypertension also have awareness and ability to independently manage their own health through various activities. Monitoring and evaluation carried out together with health workers can guarantee the sustainability of the program. Keywords: Education, Nutrition, Hipertension, Elderly

Introduction high blood pressure, commonly known as hypertension, is one of the most widespread chronic diseases in the world. It is a serious problem whose management is essential to maintain stable blood pressure levels in the short term, and to prevent neuro-cardio-vascular complications in the long term. This study aims firstly to explore the characteristics of uncontrolled blood pressure among patient´s residents of rural areas in Settat City, and secondly to determine its prevalence and identify associated risk factors. Methods this is a cross-sectional, descriptive, and analytical study which took place between March and August 2023, and targeted a population of hypertensive patients following up at primary healthcare facilities in rural areas in Settat City. A questionnaire was developed and evaluated to ensure its reliability before being administered to study participants, anthropometric measurements and blood pressure readings were also taken. Results four hundred hypertensive patients were surveyed, 53% (212) of whom had uncontrolled blood pressure, with a mean age of 56.94 (±13.10 years), and a marked female preponderance, illustrated by 72.3% (289) were female. The risk factors associated with uncontrolled blood pressure were: male gender (aOR: 2.53, 95% CI 1.13-5.65), monthly income (aOR: 5.64, 95% CI 3.04-10.46), diabetes (aOR: 3.16, 95% CI 1.77-5.63), monotherapy (aOR: 8.42, 95% CI 2.85-24.90), poor compliance with medication (aOR: 7.48, 95% CI 4.21-13.29), and stress (aOR: 2.22, 95% CI 1.14-4.33). Conclusion the level of blood pressure control was unsatisfactory in this population, underscoring the imperative of educating hypertensive patients about management measures and reinforcing the quality of primary health services.
