Fabrication process of thick fluorescent layer for flat panel displays using a new paste supply system

Abstract: A new paste and fabrication procedure for forming stable fluorescent layers on flat panel displays formation is discussed. We have characterized the uniformity and thickness of the fluorescent paste and, using simulations, have found that the optimum fabrication conditions are with a paste sectional area of 2050 lm 2 , a dispenser pressure of 0.5 MPa, a nozzle gap of 30 lm, and nozzle inner diameter of 0.14 mm.
