“…The peaks for the deposited ZIF-8 MAPLE thin film were slightly shifted towards lower energies, i.e., 1021.03, 531.19, 398.42, and 284.34 eV, respectively. The C1s spectrum was deconvoluted in four peaks, attributed to C–C, C–N, C–O or C–N, and C–OH bonds [ 61 ]. Traces of methanol were also identified for the MAPLE samples.…”

“…The adsorption of organic pollutants on catalysts and the active species produced in the photocatalyst are important factors that affect the catalytic degradation performance. The photocatalytic degradation efficiency can also be improved by rationally designing the catalyst structure 55 . In this work, the ZIF‐8 crystal was embedded into the porous organic polymer walls and matrices, and the interconnected macroporous structure of the substrate material was used as a channel to transport pollutant molecules, thereby increasing the contact area between pollutant molecules and ZIF‐8 crystallites and providing increased active sites for the effective decomposition of pollutant molecules.…”

“…[142,143] The composites of CQDs with metal-organic frameworks (MOF) also received tremendous attention of scientific research. For instance, Si et al [144] prepared CQDs/ZIF-8 MOF composite via the facile impregnation method and employed in photocatalysis for pollutant degradation. In the designed CQDs/ZIF-8 composite, CQDs served as photosensitizers and extended the visible light response of the photocatalyst.…”
