Express diagnostics of intact and pathological dental hard tissues by optical PNC method

Abstract: The results of hard tooth tissues research by the optical PNC-method [1-3j in experimental and clinical conditions are presented. In the experiment under 90 test-sample of tooth slices with thickness about 1 mm (enamel, dentme and cement) were researched. The results of the experiment were processed by the method of correlation analyze.Clinical researches were executed on teeth of 2 10 patients. The regions of tooth tissue diseases with initial, moderate and deep caries were investigated. Spectral characteristi… Show more

“…These methods suggest registration of the induced autofluorescence of biological tissues in vivo and in vitro induced by laser irradiation in various spectral ranges [6,3]. In the coarse ofthe studies, executed mainly in vitro, it has been shown that: High sensitivity of the method, possibility of quantitative assessments of the study results in real time meet modem requirements imposed upon the clinical diagnostics, including urgent purulent dentistry surgery [7,8].…”
