<p>This research was carried out to improve English ability of young generations of Tapakrejo village in order to promote Punden cultural sites to be tourism destination. It is specialized in practicing communicative speaking skill as the implementation of ESP for tourism. This research included into Classroom Action Research which was conducted in two cycles. The subject of this research was 20 young people of Tapakrejo village, Blitar. The data were collected using observation checklist, interview guide, and test. The result showed that there is a significant improvement of English ability from the first cycle into second cycle. The criteria that have been used to test speaking ability were fluency, pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. The technique used in promoting Punden Cultural site is advertising technique through four steps: (1) drawing the tourism potential, (2) creating banners, posters, and slogans that contain the information about the Punden cultural site, (3) creating directions to reach the Punden cultural site, and (4) creating articles to be uploaded in the internet. Furthermore, the tourism potential of punden cultural site was also describe in this research.</p>

For instance, the needs analysis on tourism department in Indonesian vocational school (Asrifan et al, 2020), the needs analysis of writing material for office administration in vocational school (Yolanda et al, 2018), a need analysis for ESP-content materials for accountancy program at vocational school (Sukarni, 2019), ESP Teacher's and Student's perceptions on teaching speaking for a tourism program (Khoirunnisa et al, 2018), and also needs analysis of ESP for Tourism Study Program At senior vocational school (Oktarin & Harahap, 2019). In particular, these studies have the objective to develop and design the ideal goals, topics, and learning materials in each respective study program to make students have the English skills needed for their future job skills.…”

The development of industry in the modern era has led to the growth of vocational schools in Indonesia. for that reason, vocational schools need to adapt or change the general English (GE) learning materials into English learning materials for specific purposes (ESP). therefore, this current study aims to investigate the need for ESP materials for agriculture students at Indonesian vocational schools. This study employed descriptive research to describe the agriculture students’ need for ESP materials. The participants of this research were 25 students of XI grade agriculture students at vocational school. This research used a questionnaire that was developed to find out the ESP needs of agriculture students. Moreover, the data from the questionnaire were analyzed by seeing the frequency of participants’ answers then the data were presented in the form of a chart or figure. The results of the study showed that the English learning objective of the agriculture students should make the students able to communicate in English well. Then, English learning materials for agriculture students should be blended with the agriculture materials such as cultivation plants and processing agricultural products. Also, English learning activities for agriculture students should involve students actively by group work, making projects, and using current media technologies in the learning process. Eventually, the results of this study can be used as a reference in mapping and developing ESP materials especially for agriculture students at vocational schools.

English for Specific Purpose is a learning program specially designed to meet students' needs in a particular area. One such area is English for pharmacy, which is taught at the pharmacy academy. However, not many pieces of research are devoted to investigating the learners' needs in pharmacy. This research was aimed to evaluate the English for Specific Course conducted by exploring students' perceptions during the 1 st half-semester, 2019/2020 academic year. A survey method was accomplished by distributing questionnaires and interviewing 160 participants in one of Tasikmalaya's public university. One hundred thirty-six submitted the online questionnaires in the google form. The result was transcribed and analyzed to get research findings. It covered the evaluation of learning objectives, content, and the learning process. From those components, students considered that learning objectives had met their hopes and needs, the course contents had given them much knowledge of English, and the learning process had run effectively and efficiently. Therefore for handling significantly few negative responses, the lecturer should consider them for future improvement.
