“…The research used a survey method to determine the Architecture and Architectural Engineering educator perceptions of online education within the U.S., as it provided the ability to identify trends and patterns at a given time. Given that a survey can be implemented in numerous ways, the study used an online method as: (1) An overwhelming percentage of U.S. adults (about 93%) have adopted the internet (Pew Research Center, 2021); (2) It is a widely accepted method for data collection (Saleh and Bista, 2017); (3) It has the ability to generate a higher response rate (Saleh and Bista, 2017;Liu and Wronski, 2018), although this is debated by researchers (Nulty, 2008;Manfreda et al, 2008); (4) Value in terms of cost, time and effort outweighs other methods; (5) It Architectural online education investigation possesses higher probability of collecting quick responses (Flaherty et al, 1998); (6) Educators were more likely to access electronic instruments during the pandemic than other distribution methods.
