The research was carried out on the sediment of Middle Bandung Basin. Samples were taken from a depth of 20 meters to 10 meters, each meter a taken sample for analysis. The characteristics of the sample are greenish grey clay deposits with remnant plant material. Research aims to identify climate change based on palynological data from the Pleistocene-Holocene Boundary. The resulting of radiocarbon dating (14C), shows that age of the sample from the 18 m depth around 11820 years BP. Separation of pollen from sediment used an acetolysis method. Palynomorphs are grouped according to their habitat that related to vegetation zone, i.e., lowland forest zone, submontane forest zone, lower montane forest zone, riparian/open herbaceous swamp vegetation, freshwater algae, and Aquatic plant. The composition of pollen shows a succession of vegetation that reflection of climate changes. From Pleistocene-Holocene boundary at least has been recorded seven times of the shift vegetation zone that is evidence of climate change. The oldest sample at 20 m depth is the coldest temperature occurred in zone one at a depth of 20-19 meters that was dominated by lower montane forest vegetation; the event was around Late Pleistocene. The opposite condition occurred in zone seven at 10 meters depth; temperature becomes warmer that indicated by disappears of pollen submontane forest and dominated by lowland forest pollen similar to the current condition. Climate change is also reflected by fluctuations the quantity pollen of open herbaceous swamp vegetation.

The aim of the study is to assess the local people's knowledge in using home garden's plants in Sajang Villagein Sembalun District, East Lombok. Floristic data was done in 105 home gardens along villages corridors to the Mt. Rinjani. Plant species usage among local people was measured using Use Value and Cultural Significant Index. The results showed that there were 279 species of 85 families grows and used by local people. Based on data analysis, Persea americana has the highest UVs (UVs = 1.35). It was followed by Curcuma longa (UVs = 1.28), Carica papaya (UVs = 1.21), Aloe vera (UVs = 1.01), Kaempferia galanga (UVs = 0.96), Syzygium aromaticum (UVs = 0.95). Plants with the highest CSI value is Aloe vera (CSI = 17.04). It was followed by Curcuma longa (CSI = 12.00), Persea americana (CSI = 9.04), Carica papaya (CSI = 8.87), Manihot esculenta (CSI = 8.17). Plants in home gardens plays an important role in human daily life, including plans as food, traditional medical material, economical and ornamental. The conservation of home garden in Sajang is crucial to maintain biodiversity in rural area and local economic development.

Biodiversitas 18: 1663-1668. Aglaonema simplex Blume is one species of Aglaonema that is distributed in Bali, Indonesia. This species can be found in the forests of Jembrana, Karangasem, Tabanan, Buleleng and Bangli. There is no recent data for A. simplexâ€™s population and microhabitat in Bali, while this data is needed to develop future conservation policy. By tracking populations over time, ecologists can see how these populations have changed and may be able to predict how they are likely to change in the future. Monitoring the size and structure of populations can also help ecologists to manage populations. This study was aimed to determine the current condition of A. simplex in the Pasatan forest and to find out the population structure, distribution, and its microhabitat characteristics. The study was conducted along two tracks at Pasatan Forest, Bali on June 9- 11, 2015. Data were collected using the purposive quadrant plot method and analyzed descriptively, tabulated in tables and graphs. The population pattern distribution was as defined by standardized Morisita's index and microhabitat differences in both tracks were determined by the Mann-Whitney test in SPSS 16. The total number of A. simplex was 114 individuals. Thirty-seven percent of plants were juveniles, while 36% were mature plants without fruit and 27% were mature plants with fruit. The population structure along the first track was dominated by a mature population of plants without fruit, while fruiting mature plants dominated the structure of the population along the second track. The distribution of the population along the first track was clustered, while distribution along the second track was uniform. A. simplex was found at an altitude of 367- 448 m asl., oil pH of 6.7-6.8, soil humidity of 73%-84%, air temperature 27Â°-28Â° C, air humidity at 80%-86%, with low light intensity of 170-225 lux.
