Experimental Study on NOx Reduction in CI Engine Fuelled with Biodiesel (Cotton Seed Methyl Ester Blends) Using Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) System with Anova Analysis
Abstract:An experimental investigation was conducted to analyse the performance and exhaust emissions of Kirloskar AV-I Compression ignited air cooled engine fuelled with diesel and cotton seed oil blends (80% of diesel and 20% of cotton seed biodiesel).Experiments were conducted at various concentration of urea solutions ranging from 30 to 35% at a constant flow rate of 0.75 litres per hour. The results indicated that urea injection with titanium dioxide as selective catalyst in the exhaust pipe caused a 47.9% of NOx … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
