Experimental investigation of LM25 alloy reinforced with SiC, Gr and MOA particles

Abstract: An experimental investigation was performed on an LM25 aluminium alloy reinforced with silicon carbide (SiC), graphite (Gr) and moringa oleifera ash (MOA) particles. The composites with different proportions such as 5 w/% of SiC, 5 w/% of SiC + 1 w/% of Gr, 5 w/% of SiC + 3 w/% of Gr, 5 w/% SiC + 1 w/% MOA, and 5 w/% of SiC + 3 w/% of MOA were produced with the stir-casting method. The effects of the reinforcement particles on density, micro-hardness, grain size, porosity, particle distribution and microstruct… Show more

“…Compound ingredients are generally grouped by kind of support, for example, concrete and framework mixtures are for the most part economically delivered composites in which gum is utilized as grid with various strengthening materials [1][2][3][4]. The distinctive sort of fiber is characteristic (plant, creature) aimed at various application [5][6][7][8].…”

“…Bio compounds are compound materials, that is, materials shaped by a network (tar) and a support of common strands (normally got from plants or cellulose) [1][2][3]. Bio compounds are the blend of regular strands (bio grits, for example, wood filaments (hardwood and softwood) or non -wood strands with polymer frameworks from both of the inexhaustible and nonrenewable assets [4][5][6].…”

“…Be that as it may, the low quality and low liquefying point finds troublesome in presenting to significant applications [7][8][9]. A wide acknowledged technique for taking care of this issue was the utilization of support particles, for example, SiO 2 , SiC, B 4 C particles, carbon fiber, glass fiber/stubbles or different components or mixes as alloying component [10].…”
