“…For the development of environmentally benign potential inhibitors along with an understanding of the inhibition mechanism, heterocyclic compounds have been considered a great alternative to replace the toxic inorganic corrosion inhibitors. , Recently, researchers have concentrated more on imidazole-based compounds due to their simple structure and very high adsorption affinity with carbon steel and copper metal in acid as well as in alkaline media, resulting in effective corrosion inhibition at a low inhibitor dose.
