“…[22,50] Besides, their use for the obliteration of processus vaginalis during hydrocelectomy has been also reported. [9][10][11][12] Their use with mesh In an experimental trial, Kukleta et al [13] performed mesh fixation in rabbits with CA glue -nBCA (Histoacryl ® ), and did not observe a reaction in muscle tissue during the acute phase. They reported fibroblastic tissue reaction characterized by mildly or moderately inflammatory cells.…”

“…[9][10][11][12] If basic principles are obeyed safe use of nBCA for external, and internal applications has been demonstrated both in preclinical, and clinical studies. [13] Cyanoacrylic glues ensure high degree, and strong bonding to biologic tissues when compared with other adhesives.…”

“…No biosynthetic materials are currently marketed for use in the gastrointestinal tract. Of the bioprostheses currently on the market most have been studied for soft-tissue repair particularly for abdominal wall reconstruction in cases of gross contamination and inguinal region reconstruction during hernia repair [15][16][17][18]. One that has been investigated for the use in the reconstruction of gastrointestinal, biliary and soft tissue defects is the small-intestine submucosa extracellular matrix (SIS-ECM).…”

“…Laparoscopic chemical application (6% iodine) [86] or use of tissue glue [86][87][88][89], talc, and fibrin, in addition to simple suture of the internal ring, has been tried to achieve the desired rates of PPV obliteration [38]. Table 4 shows the time required for laparoscopic surgery of CIH in different studies or using different techniques.…”
