Excited spectroscopy of mesons containing charm quarks from lattice QCD

Abstract: We present highly excited spectra of charmonium, charm-light and charm-strange mesons using the dynamical anisotropic lattices of the Hadron Spectrum Collaboration. The use of novel techniques has allowed us to extract these spectra with a high degree of statistical precision, while also enabling us to observe states as high as spin-4, states with exotic quantum numbers and candidate gluonic excitations. We discuss the phenomenology of these spectra, and also present preliminary results of Dπ scattering consid… Show more

“…The variation between mixing angles determined using the three different operators gives an estimate of the size of the systematic uncertainties as discussed in Ref. [64]. The 1 + mixing angle from the ρ − ρ 2 operator in the charmlight sector is closer to the heavy-quark limit value on the M π ∼ 240 MeV ensemble, but the analogous angle in the charm-strange sector does not differ significantly between the ensembles.…”

“…Their results support the interpretation of the D s0 (2317) as a DK molecule and they update a prediction for the isospin breaking decay width for D s0 (2317) → D s π. At this meeting some preliminary Hadron Spectrum Collaboration results on DK and Dπ scattering were also presented [46].…”
