Excavation of an earthwork at Cnoc a' Chaisteil, Alness, Easter Ross, 1983.

Abstract: Summary This promontory fort on the Cromarty Firth in northeast Scotland may have been built as early as the 6th century be but secondary use occurred in the 10th or 11th centuries ad. There were no finds from these early occupations.
