This research is motivated by the large number of elementary school classrooms that do not offer quality science experiences to students so that it has an impact on students' low understanding of the science concept. The RADEC (Read-Answer-Discuss-Explain And Create) learning model seems suitable for increasing students' understanding of science concepts. This learning model has scientific stages that encourage the cons-truction of students' knowledge. This study aims to analyze the increased understanding of the concept of electrical phenomena through the application of the RADEC learning model. The study involved twenty-eight grade 5 students in the 2019-2020 academic year. Quasi-experimental method with one-group pretest-postest design was used in this study. To find out the understanding of students' concepts about electrical phenomena, tests were carried out before and after the implementation. This study uses descriptive analysis to analyze data collected before and after implementation. From the results of the analysis, it is known that students' understanding of the concept of electrical phenomena after the implementation of the RADEC learning model is higher than before. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the RADEC learning model can improve students' conceptual understanding of electrical phenomena.

Most of the understanding of prospective elementary school teachers is still low. This is evidenced by the assignment score of prospective teacher that have not reached the achievement standards set by the university. The PBL model is an effective way to produce important skills such as communication skills, project management, collaborative, and innovative. The purpose of the study was to analyses the effect of the problem based learning method on the level of understanding of prospective elementary school teachers in Indonesia. This study uses quantitative methods with a quasi-experimental design. The experimental design used is the pretest and posttest control group design. Data collection techniques are using the test method. The population and sample in this study consisted of 2 classes majoring in elementary school education. The instrument used in this study was a test, namely pretest and posttest multiple choice questions. The technique used to analyze the data to test the research hypothesis is One Way Anova. Based on the results of this study, it showed that the average posttest value of the experimental class using problem based learning research was 84.82 while the average in the control class was 82.32. There is an increase of 2.5 by using the problem based learning method in Indonesian language lectures. The conclusion is that there is an influence that can increase the understanding of prospective elementary school teachers during the Indonesian language lecture process using the problem based learning method.

The method of interpreting thermal phenomena in the lower grades of primary school, which avoids explaining these phenomena based on the particle structure of a substance, gives room for pupils' alternative ideas. The aim of this paper is to determine the level of pupils' understanding of thermal phenomena in the lower grades of primary school. For this purpose we developed a test of knowledge of the following concepts: aggregate states of a substance, substance structure, temperature, heat, and heat conduction. The research was carried out in primary schools in the towns of Sombor and Kikinda and the sample consisted of 475 pupils. According to the obtained results, the lowest achievement, between 0% and 20% of the maximum points, is observed much more among the pupils of the first and second grades of primary school than among the pupils of the higher grades. In all grades the majority of the pupils had between 20% and 40% of the maximum number of points. There were no pupils with the highest scores. There was no significant statistical difference in terms of achievement bewtween the first and second grade pupils, nor between the third and fourth grade pupils, whereas this difference is statistically significant in other, higher pairs of grades (the final two grades had the highest level of achievement). The research confirmed that there is an insufficient impact of instruction on the level of understanding thermal phenomena among the pupils of the lower grades, which requires finding new approaches to teaching this type of content.
