“…The crystals of {[FeL]·0.5dmf·H 2 O} n ( 1 ) and {[CoL]·dmf} n ( 2 ) are isomorphous and isostructural to one another and with our previous published {[MnL]·dmf} n ( 3 ), 28 {[ZnL]·0.5dmf·1.5H 2 O} n ( 4 ), {[CdL]·0.5dmf·H 2 O} n ( 5 ), {[MnZnL 2 ]·dmf·3H 2 O} n ( 6 ) and {[Zn 0.75 Cd 1.25 L 2 ]·dmf·0.5H 2 O} n ( 7 ) compounds. 27 All of them crystallize in orthorhombic P 2 1 2 1 2 space group with metal atoms and ligands residing on the two fold axis.…”

“…Recently, we published the X-ray structures of five isomorphous and isostructural homo- and heteronuclear 2D coordination polymers differing in central atoms, {[M II L]· x solvent} n where M II = Mn, Zn, Cd, MnZn, Zn 0.75 Cd 1.25 . 27,28 In continuation of the previous results, we reveal here two new CPs, {[FeL]·0.5dmf·H 2 O} n ( 1 ) and {[CoL]·dmf} n ( 2 ), to study the degree of isostructurality of the entire series of compounds and the influence of metal ions on their properties. In this regard, a detailed crystallographic analysis and photoluminescent measurements were carried out, as well as an assessment of the nonlinear optical and thermoelectric properties of this series of CPs.…”

“…Schiff bases are characterized by being colored crystals (often yellow) as a weak base that decomposes with water and strong acids to form carbonyl compounds and amines. [2] This name has been given to organic compounds containing an imine group or what is known as azomethine group, which consists of a carbon atom bonded to a double bond with a nitrogen atom (C = N) [3] . The methods used to prepare the bases depend on the different nature of the substances involved in their preparation, the reaction conditions and the type of solvent used, obtaining a product with a high percentage that is distinguished by its high purity [4] .…”
