Abstract

au sein desquelles on été choisies plus particulièrement trois stations, a conduit à prendre en compte l'ensemble du territoire où elles se situent, ainsi que son utilisation par les communautés usagères. Unité essentielèment agro-pastorale au XIXème siècle (de 1833 à 1914), ce territoire alors très ouvert, s'est progressivement fermé au cours du XXème siècle (1942 à aujourd'hui) par reboisement naturel, à partir des haies, des lisières de bois..., selon diverses modalités, en relation avec l'exode rural lié à la déstructuration des collectivités rurales et la régression de l'agricidture montagnarde. ABSTRACT.-The study of mountain forest-formations in the Barousse valley (Central Pyrenees), conducted in 3 main stations, took into account the entire forest territory, and its utilisation by rural community. Functionning as an agro-pastoral unit in the 19th century (from 1833 to 1914), this territory was then largely opened. In the 20th century (from 1942 to now), it progressively closed by natural reforestation from hedges, borders of groves... This is in relation with rural depopulation coming from the «déstructuration» of the rural community and the regression of mountain agriculture. RESUMEN.-El estudio de las formaciones forestales del piso montano en el Valle de Barousse (Pirineo central francés), más concretamente de tres estaciones, ha llevado a los autores a considerar el conjunto territorial donde se hallan situadas y sus usos por parte de las poblaciones locales. Transformation of a Rural Landscape in the Eastern Pyrenees Between 1953 and 2000
