Abstract: Objective: to assess the evolution of nutritional status in children admitted to the Teaching Hospital of Universidade Federal de Alagoas.Methods: a retrospective study was performed on 52 children (0 -10yrs) whose length of hospital stay exceeded 10 days (from February to July/2001).
