In order to investigate the crushing characteristics of fertilizer particles, the Bonded particle method (BPM) was used to develop a discrete element model of fertilizer particles by bonding multiple small spherical filled particles of equal diameter into a lumpy fertilizer using a Bond key [21,22]. The input parameters for the BPM are obtained from the uniaxial compression test, which has been used extensively to determine the microscopic parameters of the grains.…”
