“…9.65 ± 2.23 reported by Cosyn and colleagues34 and 10.03 ± 2.16 reported by Arora and Ivanovski 35. However, the scores in this study are high in comparison with another study by Urban and colleagues30 which Values (statistically significant at the level of p < 0.05) with unpaired t-test for differences in buccal bone thickness of the augmented hard tissue between RTM and PCL groups.…”

“…Currently, the immediate implant placement in the aesthetic zone has been widely implemented because of the excellent shortterm treatment outcomes (Slagter et al, 2014), the small influence on the aesthetic long-term outcomes (Arora & Ivanovski, 2018), the good facial-lingual implant location, and the stability provided to the facial alveolar bone wall (Miyamoto & Obama, 2011). It is worth noting that several studies concluded that immediate implant placement in the anterior maxilla was associated with a high risk of aesthetic complications, mainly in the form of facial vertical bone resorption and, consequently, the recession of facial mucosa (Chen & Buser, 2014;Cosyn et al, 2016;Roccuzzo, Gaudioso, Bunino, & Dalmasso, 2014).…”

“…Currently no systematic review reports complication rates for PES/WES/ICAI, however our results are also comparable to other clinical prospective and retrospective studies that report PES/WES in the literature. When looking at unfavorable PES results, reports range from 0–19% [ 61 , 62 , 63 , 64 ], for WES: 0–21% [ 61 , 62 , 63 , 64 ], and PES/WES combined: 0–24% of cases [ 64 , 65 , 66 , 67 ]. Overall, both the results from our study and those in the literature revealed that unfavorable aesthetic outcomes as measured by PES/WES/ICAI, has a large range from 0–24%.…”
