Evaluation of Structural and Ferroelectric Properties in Spray Deposited (NH4)0.39K0.61NO3: Poly(vinyl alcohol) Composite Films

Abstract: The composite films of (NH 4 ) 0.39 K 0.61 NO 3 (NKN)-poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) containing equal proportions of NKN and PVA have been prepared at different substrate temperatures, T s (130-250 C) using spray deposition set up. The structural, phase stability, capacitance-voltage and ferroelectric properties of spray deposited NKN: PVA composite films were presented in this paper. Ferroelectric hysteresis loops were traced at room temperature for the composite films using modified Sawyer and Tower circuit. The … Show more

“…From the calculations, the obtained value of spontaneous polarization for NaNO 3 is 20.1964 μC/cm 2 that get enhanced to 36.6801 μC/cm 2 for K-doped NaNO 3 . The ferroelectricity in NaNO 3 and K-doped NaNO 3 is accounted to the ionic type of bonding between the nitrate group and the cations (Na or K) [49,50]. After doping of K in NaNO 3 an increment in the cell parameter is also observed (table 1).…”
