Evaluation of Quality of Hidden Transmitters Detection by a Group of Coordinated Unmanned Aerial Vehicles on the basis of Entropy Decrease Dynamics

Abstract: The article investigates a problem of evaluating the quality of the hidden transmitters search by a group of unmanned aerial vehicles. Suggested method is based on the dynamics of reducing the entropy of the system. The main factors of influence are signs of the presence of a hidden transmitter in a certain sector of the territory, which can be detected by drone sensors. The reliability of the method is proved by modeling different scenarios of the system. It is shown that a system with full communication and … Show more

“…A variant of cyclic pursuit with bidirectional connections (non-directional graph) is analyzed in [16]. In [17] the graph of the structure with the virtual leader is analyzed, and for the case of "convoying" the corresponding scheme is developed in [18]. The inclusion of virtual leaders in the schemes implies that there may not be a real drone leader in the system.…”

“…The problem of agent connectivity is also considered in [10], where the problem of planning the work of a group of autonomous agents in the protection of an important object is solved. In addition, in [11] a group of connected agents solves the problem of finding hidden transmitters. Thus, existing approaches to modeling the availability of information in MESH networks based on connectivity do not allow the design of dynamic systems in which individual elements are constantly moving.…”
