For instance, yttrium (Y) exhibits remarkable resistance to alloy corrosion and enhanced electrical conductivity in ferritic stainless steels. Due to similar physical and chemical properties, separating individual RE elements from their mixtures remains challenging . Solvent extraction is extensively utilized to separate RE elements because of its continuous and robust production capacity. , However, hydrochloric acid is usually produced and accumulated in the aqueous phase during the cation-exchange reaction, hindering RE elements’ extraction.…”
