Evaluation of panoramic radiomorphometric indices in Indian population

Abstract: Objecitves: Radiomorphometric indices on dental radiographs can be used for screening of osteoporosis. However population-specific normative data is sparse. Aim was to establish radiomorphometric indices in Indian population and to determine role of age, gender and dentition on these indices. “…The mean age of participants in dataset one to develop references was 23.5 ± 2.5 years. In the previous study conducted by Pal et al, 14 was performed on a small sample size aged 30–70 years were included; hence there was a need to conduct a study in young adults aged 20–30 yrs.
