General anaesthesia is used in routine pediatric dental practice. Although they are considered effective and safe in controlling pain during dental procedures, complications related to their use appear inevitable. Aim of the study was to assess knowledge, attitude and practice of dentist towards dental procedures under general anesthesia. It was a university setting study. Questionnaires consisting of ten questions [Fig. 1] focused on the perceptions and experiences on protocols followed by general dental practitioners and specialists on general anesthesia. Data was entered in excel in a methodical manner and was imported to SPSS software 20. Chi square association was done to compare the responses between general dentist and specialist and were represented in the form of bar graphs. In relation to association between Qualification and common indications of general anaesthesia. (Pearson Chi Square = 2.789, P value = 0.425(<0.05), hence statistically not Significant). Among General dentists, 37.5% of them agreed with Extreme non- cooperation followed by 25% for long surgical procedures and strong emetic and 12.5% for Extreme dental fear as a common indication for general anesthesia. Among Specialists, 38.2% of them agreed with long surgical procedures followed by 35.2% for extreme non cooperation, 17.6% for extreme dental fear and 8.82% for strong emetic reflex as a common indication for general anesthesia [Fig. 5]. Both General dentist and specialist have fairly good knowledge about paediatric general anaesthesia.

Background: Technology has become an integral part of our daily lives. These include electronic games, home computers, hand held devices and other gadgets. Children of the present days spend much time with gadgets. This might have a negative and positive impact on them. Bruxism is a conscious or unconscious, non-functional grinding or clenching of teeth. Aim: The survey aims at assessing the usage of gadgets among bruxism associated children. Materials and Methods:A survey questionnaire on the usage of gadgets and bruxism was prepared. This survey was conducted by circulating among the parents. The questions were focused on the bruxism and usage of gadgets by the children. Bruxism questions were framed according to the guidelines given by the American Association of Sleep Medicine. The results were analyzed. Results: There was higher participation of age groups of 6 to 10 years than the other age groups. Most of the children use gadgets more frequently. Most of the children spend their time playing games online. 60.29% of the parents were aware of the ill effects of using gadgets. 39.71% of the parents restricted the usage of gadgets. 67.65% of the children have the habit of either clenching or grinding the teeth. 32.81% of the children clench their teeth during the day. The present study reported that most of the children don't experience headaches (44.12%) during waking up. 50% don't experience jaw pain. 51.47% don't experience tooth or gum pain when waking up. It has also been reported that during stress or after continuous usage of gadgets, 47.06% don't clench their teeth. 35.29% of parents are aware that the usage of gadgets can cause tooth grinding. 41.18% of the parents feel that their children's sleep gets disturbed due to the continuous usage of gadgets. 57.35% of the parents are aware of the treatment strategies. Conclusion: Usage of gadgets does not bring about a direct impact on the child. It does impact the stress, outcome of the score of the games played and so on. Therefore, future studies should be conducted to bring about the correlation between using gadgets and bruxism in children.

It is of interest to compile available information on the root canal morphology of primary maxillary molars from known literature. The literature resources used to collect data include Medline/PubMed, The Cochrane Central Register of Clinical Trials, SIGLE and Science Direct. Data consists of type of population, number of teeth per study, number of root canals, canal length and type of root canal configuration. We used data from a total of 13 studies (951 primary maxillary molars). Maxillary molars (1st and 2nd) are dominant for two roots variant. The first molar the mean root length ranges from 7.9mm – 8.1mm. The second molar ranges from 7.2mm-8.5mm. Type I (explain in a phrase) canal morphology is the common variant in both the molars. Data shows that Root Canal morphology shows variations with the diagnostic aid (example micro CT) used and in different ethnic populations.
