[17] On further analyses five types of anemia were seen in anemic women based on peripheral blood examination as shown in Table 4. In our study majority of the pregnant women suffered from microcytic hypochromic anemia (71.1%), followed by 11.5% normocytic normochromic while dimorphic anemia was seen in 8.1% women, 7.5% had normocytic hypochromic and a miniscule of 1.7% had macrocytic picture.…”
