Evaluation of Antioxidants, Total Phenolics And Antimicrobial Activities of Ethyl Acetate Extracts From Fungi Grown on Rice Straw

Abstract: Rice straw (RS) collected from Egyptian agricultural environment (Al-Masied village-Alsharqia Governorate-Egypt) was used as substrate for three fungal isolates namely: 4b, 1Asp, Pleurotus ostreatus NRRL 3501 and mixed culture of (4b, 1Asp). Isolates number 4b and 1Asp were identified using the molecular technique (18S rRNA). Isolate 4b and 1Asp, were identified as Trichoderma saturnisporum MN1-EGY and Aspergillus niger MN2-EGY, respectively. Trichoderma saturnisporum MN1-EGY extract exhibited the highest anti… Show more

“…A substantial rise in the chlorophyll content of plants treated with fungal elicitors was also observed. Another study by the authors of references [ 80 , 81 , 82 , 83 ] presented likewise results where the total phenolics were improved by Aspergillus niger . The authors of references [ 84 , 85 , 86 , 87 ] investigated the impact of Aspergillus niger on apricot ( Prunus armeniaca L.) production and discovered a 30% increase in total phenolics.…”

“…Phthalic acid, ethyl pentadecyl ester showed an absorption time of 14,588 minutes (Figure 13). This substance is characterized by the fact that it is an active enzymatic and bioactive substance among secondary metabolites (Bahaa et al, 2019). Mono(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate volatile metabolite showed an absorption rate of 14,817 minutes when T. asperellum Uz-A4 liquid culture was extracted with ethyl acetate (Figure 14).…”
