Evaluation for Protective Effect of Rutin, a Natural Flavonoid, against HCl/Ethanol-Induced Gastric Lesions

Abstract: -In this study we investigated the protective effects of rutin, a natural plant flavonoid, on HCl/ethanol-induced gastric lesions in rats. Rutin showed the antioxidant activities, the acid-neutralizing capacities, and the inhibitory effects on the growth of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori.), which are equivalent to control compounds.
