Evaluating models for lithospheric loss and intraplate volcanism beneath the Central Appalachian Mountains

Abstract: The eastern margin of North America has been shaped by a series of tectonic events including the Paleozoic Appalachian Orogeny and the breakup of Pangea during the Mesozoic.
