In an era where technological advancements are reshaping the landscape of resource management, this paper delves into the transformative role of predictive analytics in the exploration and management of geological resources in the United States. The study's backdrop is set against the burgeoning need for innovative approaches in geological exploration, driven by environmental, economic, and technological imperatives. The primary aim of this comprehensive review is to dissect the multifaceted contributions of predictive analytics in enhancing the efficiency, accuracy and sustainability of geological resource exploration. The scope of the paper encompasses a detailed examination of the integration of predictive analytics in geological exploration, focusing on its economic benefits, environmental sustainability implications and adherence to legal and ethical standards. Methodologically, the study employs a qualitative analysis of existing literature and case studies, juxtaposing traditional exploration methods with modern predictive analytic techniques. It further investigates the economic impact of predictive analytics implementation, the role of predictive models in identifying new geological resources and the strategic implications for sustainable resource management. The findings reveal that predictive analytics significantly enhances risk assessment, resource identification, and environmental management in geological exploration. The economic analysis underscores the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of predictive analytics, while strategic implications highlight the need for an integrated approach to sustainable resource management. Conclusively, the study recommends policy reforms and regulatory frameworks that align with technological advancements to ensure sustainable and prosperous geological resource management. It advocates for embracing advanced tools to navigate the complexities of resource exploration and management, ensuring a balance between economic viability and environmental sustainability. The study is devoted to the research of environmental compliance and business strategies of the practice of venture enterprises. The purpose of the study is to determine the role of environmental compliance in the business strategies of enterprises and to reveal the potential of a positive impact on sustainable development. The paper examines hypotheses regarding the favourable impact of environmental compliance on the competitiveness and innovative potential of enterprises. Environmental compliance and business strategies of enterprises have the potential to promote sustainable environmental development, which is currently only 10% used. This requires the active participation of enterprises in the implementation of environmental practices, investments in innovative solutions and the development of knowledge. The study highlights the need to support and promote practices such as venture entrepreneurship, which contribute to the creation of new environmentally relevant technologies, products and services. Therefore, the results of this work indicate the importance of developing and implementing ecologically appropriate business strategies in business practices. This can contribute to improving the environmental condition, ensuring sustainable development and strengthening the competitive positions of national economies.

Fundamental Shifts in the EU’s Electric Power Sector Development: LMDI Decomposition Analysis

The electric power sector plays a central role in changing the EU’s energy landscape and establishing Europe as the first climate-neutral continent in the world. This paper investigates fundamental shifts in the EU’s electric power sector by carrying out its logarithmic mean Divisia index decomposition by stages of electricity flows on a large-scale basis (for both the entire EU and its 25 member states) for the period 1995–2021 and identifies the individual contribution of each EU member state to these shifts. In this study, four decomposition models were proposed and 14 impact factors (extensive, structural, and intensive) affecting the development of the EU electric power sector were evaluated in absolute and relative terms. It was found that the wind–gas transition, which took place in the EU’s electric power sector, was accompanied by an increase in the transformation efficiency of inputs in electricity generation and a drop in the intensity of final energy consumption. The non-industrial reorientation of the EU’s economy also resulted in a decrease in the final electricity consumption. At the same time, this transition led to negative shifts in the structure and utilization of its generation capacities. The fundamental shifts occurred mainly at the expense of large economies (Germany, France, Spain, and Italy), but smaller economies (Romania, Poland, Croatia, the Netherlands, and others) made significant efforts to accelerate them, although their contributions on a pan-European scale were less tangible.
