Ethylenediammonium gallic vanadium hydrogen sulfate monohydrate

Abstract: The title compound, tetrakis(ethylenediammonium) gallium trivanadium octakis(hydrogen sulfate) tetrahydroxide tetrahydrate, (C2H10N2)4[GaV3(SO4)8(OH)4]·4H2O, was obtained hydrothermally from an aqueous solution of VOSO4, Ga2O3, ethylenediamine, glycol and sulfuric acid. The structure features a one‐dimensional chain built from MO6 octahedra (site symmetry , M = V or Ga) and bridging OH and SO4 groups.
