It was verified that the most prevalent degree of opacification in the studied sample was partially opacified. ADC values of the sinus mucosa thickening are statistically lower than those of the other groups, indicating less diffusibility of the thickening water molecules in relation to the other alterations. It was concluded that it is possible to use the ADC values in the differentiation of the mucous thickening of the other alterations of the maxillary sinuses.
