Three Simple Spectrophotmetric Methods Using for Estimation of Vancomycin in Pure and Vial Injection

Three rapid, accurate and ecological friendly spectrophotometric methods are used for determination of Vancomycin at wavelength 200 nm for the zero-order method, 195-205 nm for the area under the curve (AUC) method and 200 nm for the first derivative method(D1). A calibration graph shows that Beer's law is obeyed over the concentration range between 4-16 mg.L-1 for all three methods with a correlation coefficient of 0.994, 0.998 and 0.997 for zero-order, AUC and D1 at valley 200 nm, respectively. Average of Rec.% were found to be of 100.870, 101.425 and 99.515 for zero-order, AUC and D1 at valley 200 nm, respectively. Statistical analysis of data reveals that all three methods are precise, accurate and suitable for the application Vancomycin in pure and pharmaceutical preparations.

Two Rapid, direct, ecological friendly and economical spectrophotometric methods were used for estimation of meloxicam in the market Tablet dosage form. The First method is based on the use the fourth order derivative spectrum (D4) and the second method is depend-ed on the ratio of the area under the curve for the two peaks in the drug (Compensated area under the curve). The linear calibration graphs of the two methods were measured in the con-centration range (5-35)mg/l and the average of recoveries for local market Tablet (AWA)® were 99.8% for D4 method and 100.2% for CAUC method which indicating a good accuracy and precision for these methods. In this study, the results obtained by these suggested meth-ods have been successfully statistically compared by t-test and Mann-Whitney test showed a good agreement.

Different Mathematical Spectrophotometric Methods for Determination of Ampyrone in Presence of Its Acid Degradation Product

Three simple spectrophotometric methods namely; area under the curve, simultaneous equation method, and modified simultaneous equation method was developed and validated for the determination of Ampyrone with the presence of its acidic product using zero-order spectra without prior separation techniques. The linearity was found in the range of (10-50 mg/L) and (10-55 mg/L) for Ampyrone and its acidic product, respectively. The recovery percentage was found to be in the range from 99.6 to 100.65 for the area under curve method and 96.64 to 104.8 for the simultaneous equation method and its modified version which showed good accuracy and precision for three proposed methods.
